Rev. Dr. Cheryl Williams is many things vocationally, but most proud to be a Woman of GOD and mother to a highly talented son who is humble, GOD fearing and destined to be a profound Leader in tomorrow’s global world.
Dr. Williams who prefers to be called Dr. Cheryl Vernae is by trade a celebrity make-up artist. A highly respected artist with over 25 years of experience in the industry, she started in retail dept stores in NYC spraying and spritzing her way to TV and Film. Wanting to be president of a cosmetic brand, Dr. Cheryl had no idea GOD had other plans. Her break into TV came with the Queen Latifah Show after the cosmetic company she worked as an executive for folded. Gratefully, God had a set up in store through HIS divine plan.
Dr. Cheryl can indeed be called a celebrity make-up artist because her client list reads like a who’s who in today’s pop culture and global world.
From Secretary of State Ms.Condoleezza Rice, Kanye West, Shaquille O’Neil, Selema Gomez, Vice President Al Gore, Anita Baker, Nikki Minaj, Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child, Rev. Al Sharpton, most of the on air talent at ABC, NBC, CBS, just to name a few! The highly respected, now deceased Emmy award journalist Peter Jennings of ABC requested her artistry work on most his acclaimed and award winning TV specials.
Dr. Cheryl’s two Emmy nominations in the make-up category for her work at ABC with the now defunct day time dramas ONE Life To Live and ALL My Children is also a crown jewel testament to her work and most sought after artist talent in the entertainment industry.
It doesn’t end there, Dr. Cheryl has also expanded into film and prime time TV with movies like academy award winning Precious, I AM Legend Men in Black 3 both with Will Smith, and TV shows like Kings and Person of Interest, with dozens of others to add to her illustrious and thriving career.
And if that isn’t enough, she still finds time to give back to the community through her Forgiveness Workshops with emphasis on Self Esteem designed especially for women and a highly effective program designed for the Dept. of Education in NY and NJ called projectZOOM3000, the Leadership Building Self Esteem/ Self Awareness program for children through young adults.
Her outstanding LEAVERAGE YOUR LEGACY N2LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE EVENT in 2018 was wildly received and lauded by both Mayor Di Blasio and Governor Cuomo because of Dr. Williams’ work in the community at large over the years and her uncanny ability to spot and highlight the gifting and talented in others. The success of the conference was a highlight in the city of New York with much respect and anticipation for repeat success.
As a radio show talk host in NYC for four years on WWRL and WTHE, Inspirational Talk w/ Cheryl Williams was a hit w/ provocative and stimulating talk for the listening audience to enjoy.
Dr Cheryl was conferred the Doctorate of Divinity in 2011 and she was also made a chaplain with the NYC Police Dept.
Also ever creative and an out of the box thinker, Dr. Cheryl is currently working on new ventures, product lines and creative productions to help better our world as a global community. The end goal of is to help advance the world to become a better place for our children to live in and enjoy for generations to come.
